The first years annual storage for your Cord Blood and/or Cord Tissue is included in the package. The second year and subsequent year’s are invoiced on an annual basis for payment.

For £50 you can choose to find out your baby’s blood type from their Cord Blood sample. It requires no extra steps in the process, just let customer care know when signing up. This is not routinely tested for on the NHS.
Additional Cord Tissue Segments
With clinical trials and scientific research into cord tissue stem cells progressing, many parents choose to store additional cord tissue segments. As standard, the cord tissue package includes 4 segments. You can upgrade this to a total of 9 segments for £49/year or 14 segments for £98/year.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, we offer clients the opportunity to purchase either 20, 25 or 30 years’ storage in advance. During this time you will not need to pay any annual storage fees. This can be taken out at the time you sign up for one of our packages or at any time whilst you are storing with us, simply call us on 01159 677 707 and we can guide you through our options.
We hope you never need to use your sample, but if you do, we will organise everything for you.
After arranging the consent papers with you, we will work with your doctor to arrange the safe delivery of your sample to the transplant facility on the given date and time.
Simply select “send my contract” below the storage package you wish to choose and complete the details. We will then send a contract and request payment. Alternatively contact us on 0115 967 7707 or email custcare@fhbb.com and we will send you an contact to complete.
We will then send you a collection kit, allocate your healthcare professional for the collection (if required) and write to your hospital to inform them of your request to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
If either the Cord Blood or the Cord Tissue are not suitable for storage then the relevant single service fee will be applicable.
