What is genetic screening?
Our genetic services screen for chromosomal variants to determine an individual’s risk of having or developing certain medical conditions.
Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)
- DNA test on maternal blood sample
- Test from 10 weeks into pregnancy
- Check for conditions such as Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome and Patau’s syndrome
- Identify the sex of your baby

Genetic Dietary Screening
- DNA test using cheek swab or on cord blood sample
- Simple home cheek swab kit
- Screen your baby or young child for their potential to develop Lactose intolerance, coeliac disease and bitter taste sensitivity
- Included in our Cord Blood Premium Plus package
- Results within 14 days
- Full reporting delivered by email
Future Health Newborn Screening
- Whole-exome sequencing to screen 400 genes
- Screens for 390+ diseases that are:
- Highly actionable childhood-onset diseases
- Adult-onset diseases that are actionable during childhood.
- Add to your cord blood service (at birth) or order a saliva swab kit online (suitable from 4 weeks)
- Results within 4 weeks
